TOM – Text Only

Below is the text only version of The Old Man page:

12 Brearden St, South Reachville, was the first building I purchased. Property back then was harder to come by. In the end there were too many people and not enough land available because of the post-War problem no-one mentions. Escrow. After the war in Europe, much of the land was held in care by the State. My father told me how he was forced into negotiations by an unscrupulous local government official following his brothers untimely demise. Death has always been part of war, and even though we’d survived the horrors of fascism and nationalism, there were always lingering concerns they could re-emerge. Hopefully a watchful eye will remain, among freedom loving people, to warn against their return.
This world we share can be so beautiful. Will good people always be forced to protect it with their lives? Disrupt the tyranny of the elite with the blood of the free? Their grasp on power must be seen for the tenuous desperate attempt to reclaim control it is. Plan now for the next generation. Enough people standing together, we have proven, can cause change. For by standing together against tyrants we have claimed peace. People, of good intent, must join in peaceful contemplation. To stand together and not waste the time granted us. Realise, all who read these words, only our actions can make the world the paradise our children deserve. And, let us do only good things in this time. Come now, listen to this senile old man. Together, and always remember this, we have made the world a better place. Tell your family and friends to stand together as a force for peace. No-one will ever prevail against the people if we join and peacefully march as one.

The short message from TOM is created from the first word of every sentence:

12 Brearden St South Reachville Property in escrow after my death
Hopefully this will disrupt their plan enough for people to realise and come together
